2001 was a wonderful year for Kevin Harvick. After the death of Dale Earnhardt Sr, Kevin was placed in his car with a new number and new color scheme. It didn't take Kevin long to win his first Winston Cup race, finishing just inches ahead of Jeff Gordon. He also won the inaugural race at Chicago and went on to win the Busch Series championship. His impressive Winston Cup campaign placed him 9th in points. Unfortunately, 2002 was not as kind to Kevin and he's looking for a stronger season in 2003.
