TRIUMPH OVER TURMOIL
Homestead, FL - When Tony Stewart fell out of the Daytona 500 on just the 2nd lap, did any of us believe he would come back to win the 2002 NASCAR Championship? Tony did! Even after asking the media to give him some space and as they did everything in their power to create controversy, Tony's determination prevailed. While he weaved his way through a topsy-turvy season, he never lost sight of where he wanted to be. He showed all of us that no matter what obstacles were placed in front of him; he would not be diverted from reaching his ultimate goal.
We at tracksidegirls.com salute Tony Stewart and the entire Home Depot team for their perseverance throughout the whole season. Surely no other NASCAR Champion has had to overcome adversity as completely as Tony has. We have no fear that Tony will represent NASCAR in the best way he can. After all, Tony does his best talking where it counts the most, on the track!
Tony, you have certainly proven what it takes to make a real champion.
